6th Grade: Is It Alive?

This unit was built around a website I created for the project. It presented the scenario of a meteor covered in two separate substances landing in a nearby park. Students were given the mission of figuring out if the substances were alive and reporting back to New York City's mayor with their results.

The website contains information about both substances, resources on the characteristics of life, and the means to send their findings back to the mayor.

The project was designed to be presented to a mixture of English Language Learners and non-ELL students.
