$10,000 for books to jumpstart the new library at PS 89. This grant also included a visit from author Jeffrey Bennett.

One year of free access to all Sylvan Dell ebooks.

$2,580 for nonfiction books for the library and for two nonfiction book clubs. This grant also included materials for a schoolwide reading motivation program.

Approximately $1,400 of technology - including a netbook, flip camera, and digital projector - and professional books on digital citizenship.

$2,000 for library books.

$875 to supplement the school's Science Fiction and Fantasy CCD Collection and a one year subscription to Libguides

$5,000 to create unit specific book carts for social studies class projects.

$7,500 to purchase books to fill gaps in the collection. Purchases included history books, science books, newer award winners, and comics/graphic novels.
