6th Grade: Speed Booking

Picture
It's like speed dating, but with books! Students were asked to choose a book that they enjoyed reading, and were given a worksheet for guidance on presenting the book to their classmate. They wrote about their favorite characters, reasons why someone should read the book, and a "hook" to draw people in. On the big day, students had 1 minute to talk up their book to their partners, and 1 minute to hear about their books in turn. They marked down books they were interested in and kept their sheets to use later on when they needed a new book to read.
