MyLibraryNYC

Picture
MyLibraryNYC is an interlibrary loan partnership between public and school libraries in New York City. The program allows teachers to order and borrow books for their classrooms, from one individual copy to a full class set.

The books are ordered through an online union catalog and shipped directly to the school, making it easy for teachers to get materials they need for their classrooms.

My role in the program as the school's facilitator includes training staff, distributing and managing library cards, receiving and distributing shipments, and shipping returned books back to the public library.

My school was invited to join in Fall 2013. For more information about the program, please click here.
