Library Advisory Committee

I was invited to join the NYC School Library Systems' Library Advisory Committee in 2013. As a member of the Common Core Learning Standards and Information Fluency Continuum subcommittee, I worked with other librarians to create and implement lessons aligned to both the Common Core standards and the Empire State Information Fluency Continuum (New York State library program standards).

The lessons and resulting student work were posted as sample lessons on a website available to librarians throughout New York State:  http://nycdoe.libguides.com/IFC

Lessons:
6.2: Making Inferences from Facts
7.8: Self-Assessment
8.6: Claim, Evidence and Interpretation
